Signing up for great appeal
Benalla Health is keeping its community up to date about how their Annual Appeal donations are tracking.
A large thermometer sign has been installed at the health service entrance.
The sign will be updated regularly to reflect the amount of donations coming in.
The Annual Appeal is the major fundraiser for Benalla Health and it was launched earlier this month when donation envelopes were sent out to residents and businesses.
Chief Executive Officer Janine Holland said that the funds from this year’s appeal would go towards refurbishing the A.L. Berry Centre, which provides important inpatient and community-based rehabilitation services to Benalla and district residents.
“We have already started work on revamping the centre as we also raised funds for these works during last year’s appeal,” she said.
“Completion of these works will allow us to continue to provide high quality services such as physiotherapy and day activities to our community.”
Ms Holland said the current services had been relocated while the building work is being undertaken and clients were enjoying their temporary premises.
“Weather permitting, we hope that we will have the works completed towards the end of this year.
“This new contemporary space will be a great asset for our health service,” Ms Holland said.
All contributions are sincerely appreciated and Ms Holland said the Benalla community had been generous in the past in supporting the health service.
People can make online donations at benallahealth.org.au via credit card or can return the donation envelope to Benalla Health.
Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
