Benalla Health is now providing services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme and has been since October 1 2017.
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is for people with disability to get the care and supports they need to live a better life.
To Check you eligibility click here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible
How does the NDIS work?
Stage 1 - Access: To use NDIS services you need to meet the requirements set by National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
Stage 2 - Plan: If you are eligible you will meet a support planner at a NDIS office to talk about your goals and the supports you need. To make sure you get the right amount of funding, tell them the about the services you currently have and what you will need in the future. Talk to us about how we can help you with your plan.
Stage 3 - Live your Life: Once the plan is in place, funding is allocated to you for what you need so you can live a more independent life.
