Volunteers

Our volunteers are an integral part of our service.volunteers

At Benalla Health we have more than 30 active volunteers working across different areas of the health service including community-based palliative care, the Day Activity Centre, Morrie Evans Wing and acute services.

Our patients, clients and residents benefit greatly from the care our volunteers provide. We train volunteers from the community to provide both emotional and practical support to patients, clients and residents across our services.

Here is what one of our volunteers had to say about their experiences:

“Volunteering at Benalla Health Day Activity Program is a fantastic opportunity to meet and assist the folk who have made our community the caring and supportive town it is today.

Their life stories are so special; it is a privilege to listen and discuss life’s peaks and troughs and all their wonderful experiences.  They are all wonderful individuals from very diverse backgrounds.

To share in their care is the chance to learn, laugh and make life brighter for us all.”
