Visiting Benalla Health
Benalla Health welcomes visitors, as staying connected with family, friends and support people is an important part of recovery and wellbeing.
Current Visiting Approach
Infection prevention guidelines may change from time to time. If you are unsure, please call Benalla Health before visiting on (03) 5761 4222.
Mask Requirements
- Masks are optional for visitors.
- Masks are required if visiting someone with a respiratory illness or if requested by staff.
Please do not visit if you are unwell, have cold or flu-like symptoms, or have recently tested positive for a respiratory infection. This is consistent with Victorian Department of Health infection-prevention expectations.
Visiting Hours
Acute Ward
10:00am – 1:00pm
2:00pm – 6:00pm
7 days a week
Urgent Care Centre (UCC)
To ensure patient privacy and safety, one support person is permitted with patients presenting to Urgent Care.
Morrie Evans Wing (Aged Care)
Masks are now optional for all visitors, except when directed by Morrie Evans Wing staff. This will occur during an outbreak or when visiting a patient with coronavirus (COVID-19) or other respiratory illnesses.
When You Should Not Visit
For the safety of patients, residents, families and staff, you must not visit if you:
- Have a fever or symptoms such as cough, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath
- Have tested positive for a respiratory illness and have not met the criteria to end isolation
