Benalla Home Nursing Service provides home based palliative care and consultancy including:
- Palliative care assessments
- Consultation and advice;
- Care coordination;
- Symptom support, advice and management;
- Practical support for everyday activities;
- Equipment loans;
- Individual and family emotional support;
- Bereavement care; and
- After hours phone advice from palliative care nurses.
Our team work together with many other health care providers including GPs, Medical Specialists and our local District Nursing Services in Benalla and Mansfield to provide care and support to people with life limiting, chronic and oncological illness and their family members and carers.
We work with Caritas Christi Hospice (St Vincent’s Health) who provide afterhours phone advice for our clients, their family and carers.
Our team is supported with Secondary Specialist Palliative Care Consultancy by the East Hume Palliative Care Consultancy Service at Albury Wodonga Health, the Goulburn Region Palliative Care Consultancy at GV Health and St Vincent’s Health Melbourne.
