Residents urged to get tested

As announced by Premier Daniel Andrews earlier today, traces of COVID-19 have been found in Benalla’s wastewater which has been identified as part of the State Government’s wastewater testing regime in Victoria.
Getting Tested
Anyone who is unwell with any symptoms of COVID-19, no matter how mild should get tested immediately and stay at home until you receive the result. Do not go about your normal day-to-day activities such as work or going out in the community. Please do the right thing and do not place your family members, friends and the broader community at risk.
Symptoms include:
- Fever, chills and sweats
- Cough, sore throat
- Runny nose
- Shortness of breath
- Loss of sense of smell or taste
- Fatigue
- Body aches or headaches
- Diarrhoea

As announced by Premier Daniel Andrews earlier today, traces of COVID-19 have been found in Benalla’s wastewater which has been identified as part of the State Government’s wastewater testing regime in Victoria.
Three testing sites have now been set up (see maps of racecourse and showgrounds sites and entry instructions on images)
• Pop-up Testing Clinic at Benalla Racecourse - see map here
A drive through COVID-19 testing clinic has been set up at the Benalla Racecourse near the Roy Hill Pavilion, Racecourse Road, Benalla. This site will open at 2:30pm today (Thursday 19 November 2020) until 6:00pm. People can pre-register by calling 1800 314 741. Testing hours for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Racecourse are 8:30am to 3:30pm.

An additional drive through COVID-19 testing clinic will be set up at the Benalla Showgrounds from 8.30am on Friday 20th November. Enter via Cecil Street (off Arundel Street). Testing hours for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Showgrounds are 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Benalla Health’s drive through COVID-19 Testing Clinic is located at 45-63 Coster Street, Benalla and is open 7 days per week from 9:30am to 6:00pm. Please phone (03) 5761 4284 for an appointment.
There will be signage to assist at all three testing sites. I confirm at the time of writing that there are no people in the Benalla, Shepparton, Campaspe, Moira and Strathbogie regions that have tested positive for COVID-19 that are considered active cases.
